The word Saved is a great Bible Word.
“Saved” in the Bible is referencing our salvation.
In the Bible we are either saved or lost. Headed to Heaven or headed to Hell.
1. If you want to see people saved, you need to start with prayer.
Before you share with them you should be praying for them.
Matthew 9:36-38 NKJV
[36] But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. [37] Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. [38] Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
Jesus says to pray for nonbelievers.
2 Corinthians 4:4 NKJV
[4] whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Nonbelievers are not the enemy, not along ago we were one of them.
Jonah looked at Ninevites as the enemy.
Jonah 4:2 NKJV
[2] So he prayed to the LORD, and said, "Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.
2. When you seek people to be saved, you will face obstacles.
Jesus is the fulfillment of the law.
Romans 10:3 NKJV
[3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
3. There is only one way to be saved.
Romans 10:8-9 NKJV
[8] But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): [9] that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
You have to believe it and profess it.
Have you openly done that?
Jesus is Lord! Say it out loud...
Jesus is Lord!
4. We must tell people that they need to be saved.
Romans 10:14-15 NKJV
[14] How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
Beautiful feet! Feet that deliver the Gospel are beautiful to the Lord.
Those feet are in “full bloom” or “lively” can be the translation of the word “beautiful” in that scripture.
You will be refreshed when you share the Gospel. It changes your perspective.
Sowing and reaping seeds is all we can do. God gets the credit.
The devil tries to steal the seed.
Romans 10:14 NKJV
[14] How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
You don’t have to yell to preach.
1 Corinthians 1:21 NKJV
[21] For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
Be a good example. The best bridge you can build may be your good example.
Paul and Silas were a great example to the jailer while they were imprisoned. He even asked what he had to do to be saved.
When you go through hardships and keep your faith in tact it can effect the people around.
John Harper was a real life hero on the Titanic. He was an evangelist that was asking people if they were saved as the boat was going down. He was helping save people for the Lord as he was in the sinking ship. John Harper died that night.
Romans 10:13 NKJV
[13] For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
Are you saved?
