It's All How You Look at Things

Welcome to Harvest Sunday Morning!
Sunday, January 3, 2016 — 10:00 a.m.

You are in a spiritual battle as a believer, do you want to advance or retreat?

It's 2016!! Where's my spaceship?

Time passes at the same rate always, yet as we get it older it seems to go faster. We actually have less new experiences as we get older, and it is said that is why it seems to go faster.

We don't know what the new year holds but we know who holds the year.

This year there will be opportunities as well as obstacles.

God has a plan, He always has a plan.

Daniel 4:35 NKJV
[35] All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, "What have You done?"

With our eyes on the Lord we can rest assured that He will do great things.

We can make this our best year ever!

Hebrews 12:1 NKJV
[1] Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

What may be a weight to one, may not necessarily be a weight to another.

There are relationships or an activity that may not be bad in general but they are holding you back spiritually.

Are the things you doing a wing or a weight?

Where should you be looking? If you are driving, you can should be looking ahead. As a Christian you should be looking towards Jesus. Where I look affects how I live.

How we view God determines how we view life. There is no area of your life that this view does not affect you.

Numbers 13:25-28 NKJV
[25] And they returned from spying out the land after forty days. [26] Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. [27] Then they told him, and said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. [28] Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

Numbers 13:30-33 NKJV
[30] Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." [31] But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we." [32] And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. [33] There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

Numbers 14:1-2 NKJV
[1] So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. [2] And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

All these 12 men saw the same thing, yet they saw it differently.

The majority saw all kinds of problems. They have a small god. The minority have a big God and saw all the opportunity available to them.

Do you look at things with faith or with concern?

God will always honor His word when it goes out.

Why they didn't enter the land of Milk and Honey:
1. They focused their attention on the obstacles instead of their objective.

Numbers 13:28 NKJV
[28] Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there.

2. When you allow fear to grip you, everything is affected.

Numbers 14:2-4 NKJV
[2] And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! [3] Why has the LORD brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?" [4] So they said to one another, "Let us select a leader and return to Egypt."

Had they forgotten how bad things were in Egypt?

God can do more with 300 believers the he can with 10,000 half hearted followers.

4. God does not want us to run from our giants, He wants us to attack them!

Numbers 14:9 NKJV
[9] Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them."

Addiction, gluttony, fear, or a threat, we are to attack them with our faith in God to be with us.

Force your giant into the light of day! Call on God and pray for his power. You don't negotiate with giants, you cut off its head.

1 Samuel 17:51 NKJV
[51] Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

How do we attack our giants? You attack the power that controls the person, satan. God will hear your prayers.

Your don't have to live in a wilderness, you can enter the land of milk and honey:
Joshua 14:7-12 NKJV
[7] I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought back word to him as it was in my heart. [8] Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt, but I wholly followed the LORD my God. [9] So Moses swore on that day, saying, 'Surely the land where your foot has trodden shall be your inheritance and your children's forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD my God.' [10] And now, behold, the LORD has kept me alive, as He said, these forty-five years, ever since the LORD spoke this word to Moses while Israel wandered in the wilderness; and now, here I am this day, eighty-five years old. [11] As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. [12] Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the LORD said."

When God gives you the strength, you can do whatever the Lord calls you to do. Louie Zamparini is a perfect example of this.

Even though Caleb was older, he had not lost his strength.

Caleb's secret to spiritual longevity was his complete faith in the Lord.

No matter what you are facing, God is stronger than your obstacles, with your faith in Him you can overcome them.

The Talk

Notes: The Talk
SPEAKER:
Jeff Lasseigne
WORSHIP TEAM:
Harvest Worship Band
Welcome to Harvest Sunday Morning!
Sunday, December 27, 2015 — 8:00 a.m.

Pastor Jeff wants to speak to us about money today.

Someone once wrote, they say money talks, mine is always saying goodbye.

The Money Talk… about savings and not being foolish. God’s word has given us wisdom to practice with money. There are over 2000 verses in Bible discussing money.

Proverbs 24:3-4 NLT A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.

1- Tithing
Proverbs 3:9 NLT Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.

Haggai 1:6 NLT You have planted much but harvest little. You eat but are not satisfied. You drink but are still thirsty. You put on clothes but cannot keep warm. Your wages disappear as though you were putting them in pockets filled with holes!

You can do more with the Lord and 90% then you can do alone with 100%.

Look to discover the blessings of tithing. If you sow sparingly then you will reap sparingly.

2- Stewardship
Nothing truly belongs to us.

Job 1:21 NLT He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!”

1 Corinthians 4:2 NLT Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.

Honor the Lord and seek Him in every major financial decision. Pray to the Lord about everything. Nothing belongs to you so ask the Lord what He wants to do with His things.

Do not follow the typical American way of living beyond your means.

3- Contentment
1 Timothy 6:6 NLT Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.

Contentment helps us not to waste time seeking riches.

Ecclesiastes 5:10 NLT Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!

Proverbs 23:4 NLT Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit.

Do not make the critical mistake in sacrificing the family in order to make more money in order to buy more things. Dinner time, school plays, sports games with you family is not only priceless but also irreplaceable.

4- Low Debt
Romans 13:8 NLT Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

Buying a house to build equity can be wise, running up your credit card debt is a really bad idea.

Proverbs 22:7 NLT Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender.

Eliminate or minimize the debt that is in your life.

Financial freedom is not just keeping your debt low, but also living below your means.

Money makes a good servant, but a terrible master.

5-Wisdom
Knowing to live within you means.

6-Savings
Proverbs 21:20 NKJV There is desirable treasure, And oil in the dwelling of the wise, But a foolish man squanders it.

Proverbs 22:3 NKJV A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.

We need to put away for difficult times and retirement.

Proverbs 13:16 NKJV Every prudent man acts with knowledge, But a fool lays open his folly.

2 Peter 3:9 NKJV The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

7-Life Insurance
James 4:13-14 NKJV Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

When you purchase life insurance, you have the ability to leave a house and income for your family.

8- Will/Living Trust

If you do not decide how to spend your money after your death, then the government will at a very high cost.

Being a good steward calls us to do these things.

Proverbs 13:22 NKJV A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Proverbs 30:8-9 NLT First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.

If you love God then you love His word.

2 Timothy 3:16 NLT All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

When you read God’s word, you are inhaling what the Holy Spirit exhaled thousands of years ago.

As we spend time reading and studying scripture, we receive huge returns. It will pay huge spiritual dividends in your life.

God’s word, makes us complete in our faith and it equips us for good work.

BASIC TIPS: for improving your devotional time;
1- Foundational - Commit to daily devotions.
We need to be in the word everyday, it is as important as eating food or drinking water.

2- Make a plan
There are so many ways to study God’s word, like reading through the Bible in a year.

Fear Not!

Notes: Fear Not!
Luke 2

Welcome to Harvest!
Thursday, December 24, 2015 — 3:00 p.m.

There was fear in the air 2000 years ago and there is fear today. But just like then, we are to Fear Not!

The first Christmas there was no stockings hanging in homes over fire places. There was fear of the government and the rulers, the people were unhappy.

The messiah was coming then, and the answer to our fears now is the messiah coming again.

"Fear not" was used three times in the Bible.

When the Angels appeared to people, the angels were always men.

Angels say "fear not" when they appear.

1. God still answers prayers.

Luke 1:11-16 NKJV
[11] Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. [12] And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. [13] But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. [14] And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. [15] For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. [16] And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God.

John's job was to set the way for Jesus.

The Lord can intervene.

Psalm 50:15 NKJV
[15] Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

Psalm 34:4 NKJV
[4] I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.

2. God still keeps His promises

Luke 1:26-31 NKJV
[26] Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, [27] to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. [28] And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!" [29] But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. [30] Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. [31] And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.

700 years earlier the prophet Isaiah predicted that Jesus would be born to a virgin.

Christmas will let you down, but Christ will never let you down.

We don't need Christmas presents, we need to be in Christ's presence.

Luke 2:8-12 NKJV
[8] Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. [9] And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. [10] Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. [11] For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. [12] And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."

God is in control, God has a plan and God has a purpose for you.

Revelation 1:17-18 NKJV
[17] And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. [18] I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

For the Christian, death is not the end.

The angels were saying, don't worry, be happy.

Isaiah 41:10 NKJV
[10] Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

Hebrews 13:6 NKJV
[6] So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

Accept the gift of Jesus Christ and eternal life.

God will not force this gift upon you, it is up to you to receive it.

The Greatest Story Ever Told!

Notes: The Greatest Story Ever Told!
Luke 2
SPEAKER:
Greg Laurie
MUSICAL GUEST:
Phil Wickham
Sunday, December 20, 2015 — 8:00 a.m.

57% of those that don’t go to church on Christmas surveyed said they would go on Christmas if someone invited them.

So many people focus on Christmas so much that they forget about who we are actually celebrating. While celebrating Christmas we can forget about Christ.

One time when Jesus was a child his parents lost him by leaving him in Jerusalem.

Even when we forget about Jesus, he never forgets about us.

1      When did Jesus come?
a      He came at the perfect time.
i        Galatians 4:4-5 NKJV But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
b      The Jews had not heard from God in 400 years.
2      The Christmas story is a real story that happened in real time. The Christmas story starts in Heaven and is played out on Earth.

Nazareth was know as a wicked place in the time of Jesus. It would have been like being born in Las Vegas or West Hollywood or somewhere you would never expect.

Luke 1:28-30 NKJV And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God."

The God that flung planets into space, made himself small and came to earth as a baby.

Just as surely that God chose Mary to be the mother, Joseph was chosen by God to be the father. The angel appeared to Joseph and said, you will call his name Jesus. He would save the people from their sins.

Matthew 1:23 NKJV “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Luke 2:1-7 NKJV And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Augustus and Quirinius were mentioned to really dial the time down so we know the specific time Jesus was born. Caesar Augustus was calling himself a god, ruling over the people. This passage was letting the people know that the only true God was coming.

Jesus went form being sovereign to being a servant, from the glory of Heaven to a stable for animals.

Jesus didn’t spend his life climbing the ladder, he spent his life going down the ladder to us.

Would you be willing to give up your humanity to become an insect to communicate with the insects? God left the glory of Heaven to become one of us.

Proverbs 21:1 NKJV The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

Caesar Augustus had to decree that all the world be taxed, just so that Mary and Joseph could get to Bethlehem.

History swings on the hinge of the door of a stable in Bethlehem

2. Where did Jesus come?
            At an inn in Bethlehem

God comes to us in unexpected ways: To Moses in a burning bush, to the wise men through a star...the inn keeper wouldn't let them through the door.

Isn’t it true so many of us are just too busy to have Jesus in our lives.

Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

These are Jesus’ words to stressed out people. Are you stressed out?
Go to Christ and learn how to take a real rest.

One of the hardest times of the year for people who have lost loved ones is Christmas. When you are mourning, don’t fight it, just cry.

Pray for those that have lost loved ones, particularly the ones who have lost loved ones recently during this holiday season.

The manger was not a nice place for Jesus to be born. He sacrificed to be with us. Jesus took a leap down to be with us. Deity in diapers.

2 Corinthians 8:9 NKJV For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

Shepherds were the first ones told about Jesus, they were the nobodies back then, yet Jesus went to them. God loves ordinary people.

3. Why did Jesus come on that first Christmas?
To die an agonizing death to ransom us from an eternal death sentence.

The shadow of the cross laid over the birth scene.

The real Christmas tree was a cross covered in blood. That is why the color of Christmas is red.

Jesus was born to die so that we might live.

Sin Kills, Hell is Real, God Can Save You and Jesus is the Passport

Notes: Happy Christmas!
SPEAKER:
Joni Eareckson Tata
WORSHIP TEAM:
Harvest Worship Band
Welcome to Harvest!
Thursday, December 17, 2015 — 7:00 p.m.

God permits what he hates to grow what he loves.

Joni thinks God is using people with disabilities to wake up the church.

God isn't abandoning those with disabilities, He is speaking through them.

Some say happiness depends on what happens and Joy does not depend on what happens. Joni doesn't believe that, she thinks the Bible uses them interchangeably.

Joni says she is the happiest person you will ever meet. Even though she is a quadriplegic.

Jesus had to "break the bread" before he blessed it. Joni feels like she was broken before she was blessed.

She has been in a wheelchair for over 48 years.

Often, unfortunate circumstances have the biggest part of the key to the blessings in our lives.

Joni wakes up every morning needing Jesus Christ.

She says she can't do this thing called life, but God can.

James 4:6 NKJV
[6] But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

God resist the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

God always seems bigger to those that need him most.

Matthew 1:23 NKJV
[23] "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."

God participates in our pain. The greatest display in Gods power is in our human weakness.

The Lord Jesus was the most God Forsaken man to have ever lived.

There is no circumstance that can ever touch you that has not gone past God. If it has gone that far, then it was sent with great purpose.

Hope for most people is hoping that things will get better.

Jesus Christ is the blessed hope.

In the end Jesus is the only one that will make everything okay. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.

The real hope tree was on the hill of Calvary.

Why doesn't God do away with evil? If God was to get rid of all suffering, then he would have to eliminate all sin, and to eliminate sin, he would have to wipe out all sinners.

2 Peter 3:9 NKJV
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God is being terrifyingly patient with evil.

What would you trade for your soul... The whole world isn't valuable enough to trade.

2 Corinthians 6:10 NKJV
[10] as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Isaiah 25:8 NKJV
[8] He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken.

Compared to Heaven, all of our hardships will be worth it.

Jesus is the only human being ever born to die for you.

Sin kills, hell is real, God can save you and Jesus is the passport.

Empty Yourself of Self

Notes:  Empty Yourself of Self
Valor Men’s Study
Pastor Raul Ries
Matthew 1
Dec 15, 2015
Harvest OC

The word of God can transform your life. When we see people not being transformed, yet they are hearing the word of God, we start to wonder what is happening in them.

In Matthew 1 we see imperfect are in the lineage of the Lord.

Matthew 1:18 NKJV
[18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 7:14 NKJV
[14] Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

When we think of sin, have we really come to that point in life where we have been taken out of the world and start living in the Spirit?

Jesus came and died for the sins of the world.

Pastor Raul has been having seizures for the last eight years. It has been a real thorn in his side.

He asks the Lord, why does he have the seizures? He hears the Lord tell him that His grace is sufficient.

Matthew 1:18 NKJV
[18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

When you think of the Holy Spirit, he thinks of how it brings peace to his life.

He thinks of what Mary would have had to have thought. That she was carrying a baby, what could have happened to her, she could have been stoned.

Think of the Grace of God in your life, all of the things that God has given you.

Jesus will not only lead you and guide you, but will bring comfort in your life.

Matthew 1:21-22 NKJV
[21] And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." [22] So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

Salvation is the gift of God. The grace that was given to you. God wants to use you.

Ephesians 2:4 NKJV
[4] But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

When we love each other the first thing we need to do is to forgive each other.

If the grace of God is working in your life is what others are looking at.

The grace of God is how we are saved and the grace of God is what is our witness.

How many have you influenced with your life? Do people even know you are a Christian?

Grace will give you peace that surpasses all understanding.

Romans 5:8 NKJV
[8] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

If Christ died for me then I need to learn how to die to myself.

When you come to church, pray that you leave with the love of Christ showing in your life.

Titus 3:5-7 NKJV
[5] not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, [6] whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, [7] that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

You need to ask for forgiveness for all the things you have done against others.

Christ not only changes you, but he continues to change you as you continue to submit.

If you are having problems with you life, wife, drugs or alcohol or whatever. Remember that forgiveness comes as you continue to submit to the Lord.

God is the one who is worthy of all of the glory.

Acts 4:12 NKJV
[12] Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

1 Corinthians 1:18 NKJV
[18] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Recognize that Jesus not only died, but he went through pain for you so that you can gain.

Do you still look to the cross of Jesus Christ?

There is no one else that can bring comfort to your life.

Strip yourself of self so that others can see the power of the Holy Spirit in your life.

If the devil comes trying to condemn you, don't listen to him.

Jeremiah 17:9 NKJV
[9] "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

Pray that God takes away all of your pride, pride is a horrible thing.

God knows us and gives us the strength of the Holy Spirit.
