the world!

What is a Saint? They are people
that the light shines through.
Saint is another word for
believer.
God can use anyone
1 Corinthians 1:26 (MSG)
Take a good look, friends, at who
you were when you got called into this life. I don't see many of "the
brightest and the best" among you, not many influential, not many from
high-society families. Isn't it obvious that God deliberately chose men and
women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these
"nobodies" to expose the hollow pretensions of the
"somebodies"? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by
with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have---right thinking
and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start---comes from God by way of
Jesus Christ. That's why we have the saying, "If you're going to blow a
horn, blow a trumpet for God."
2 Corinthians 4:7-13 (NKJV)
But we have this treasure in
earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
[8] We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but
not in despair; [9] persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not
destroyed- [10] always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. [11] For we who live
are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus also may
be manifested in our mortal flesh. [12] So then death is working in us, but
life in you. [13] And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what
is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and
therefore speak,
1. Simon Peter - the most talked
about. The most questions asked and the most known. Spoke his mind and some
times too often.
He trusted and doubted Jesus
throughout the Bible.
God doesn't see who you are he
sees who you can be.
Crucified on an upside down cross
2. Andrew was always introducing
people to Jesus.
Andrew was hung to an X shaped
cross.
John 1:41-42 (KJV)
He first findeth his own brother
Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being
interpreted, the Christ. [42] And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus
beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called
Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
3. James and John - the suns of
thunder. They we're know as the Sons of Thunder.
Them and Peter spent the most
time with Jesus.
Mark 10:33-34 (NKJV)
"Behold, we are going up to
Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the
scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles;
[34] and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him.
And the third day He will rise again."
Mark 10:35-37 (NKJV)
Then James and John, the sons of
Zebedee, came to Him, saying, "Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever
we ask." [36] And He said to them, "What do you want Me to do for
you?" [37] They said to Him, "Grant us that we may sit, one on Your
right hand and the other on Your left, in Your glory."
Herod beheaded James.
John was known as the apostle of
love, he was banished to the island of Patmos.
4. Phillip - he was called by
Jesus himself.
John 1:43 (NKJV)
The following day Jesus wanted to
go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, "Follow Me."
John 6:5-7 (NKJV)
Then Jesus lifted up His eyes,
and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, "Where
shall we buy bread, that these may eat?" [6] But this He said to test him,
for He Himself knew what He would do. [7] Philip answered Him, "Two
hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of
them may have a little."
5. Bartholomew
6. Thomas - known for his doubt.
Doubt is not always a sign a man
is wrong, it can be a sign that he is thinking.
7. Matthew - tax collector.
Author of the Gospel.
Jesus said the two words -
"Follow me"
8. Judas Iscariot - life ended in
suicide.
John 12:5-6 (NKJV)
"Why was this fragrant oil
not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?" [6] This he
said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the
money box; and he used to take what was put in it.
The Bible says that Satan entered
his heart.
Judas could of repented. Jesus
loved him.
God can do a lot with a little.
